Here's living proof that we've accomplished things.
Pinwheels for PeaceSeptember 15
September 21 is the International Day of Peace. This year marks the sixteenth Peace Day since the United Nations adopted this day of nonviolence and peace. On this day, people from all around the world are broadcasting the importance of peace in the world. Some do so with pinwheels.
Using sheets of paper and markers, we designed several pinwheels, using colors and symbols of peace. Using scissors and simple folding skills, the papers were transformed into these colorful pinwheels. They are to be displayed in the school to advocate for peace.

Houses for HoustonSeptember 1
Houses for Houston is a fundraising project targeted to raising money for the victims of Hurricane Harvey. The idea originated from two Floridan art teachers upon the rise of the Haiti earthquake of 2010, and once areas of Texas were hit with Harvey, the opportunity arose to creatively fundraise in the same way.
We used materials such as mat board and Shrinky Dink paper to cut out miniature houses. After designing them with pencils, markers, and scrap material, we sealed them with glue before adding pins and magnets on the backside for a creative purpose. We plan to sell these tiny houses for $5 each.
